Privacy Policy for Count Mantras
Count Mantras is a japa (mantra counting) app. Your practice data stays on your device. The app is free and shows third-party ads.
Information stored on your device
The app stores locally (UserDefaults):
- Selected mantra, current mala progress, malas completed, lifetime japas, daily streak, and recent session history
- Language, sound, haptics, keep-awake, and lock-screen preferences
This is not sent to Sai Laksha Technologies. There is no account or login.
Advertising
We use Google AdMob to show banner ads (and interstitial ads when configured). Google may collect advertising identifiers and device data according to Google’s policies, to show and measure ads.
On iOS 14.5+ we ask for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency) before ads start. You can refuse. Ads still appear; they may be less personalized.

Information we do not collect ourselves
- No name, email, or precise location for our servers
- We do not sell your japa history
- We do not use your mantra practice for our own analytics products
Audio and lock screen
If lock-screen counting is on, the app may play a soft drone so iOS keeps a Now Playing session. That audio stays on the device.
Children’s privacy
The app is for a general audience including families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are provided by Google; we do not target children.
Data retention and deletion
Delete the app to remove local japa data.
