Privacy Policy for Little Scientist
Little Scientist is a children’s science lab. We designed it so that a child’s learning stays on their device. The app is free. It shows Google ads that are child-directed and not personalized. The app does not track users across other apps or websites, and it does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.

Information stored on your device
The app stores locally (on-device storage such as UserDefaults and SwiftData):
- Scientist display name
- Experiment progress, XP, badges, discoveries, and streak
- Sound, haptics, and Listen & Learn preferences
This is not sent to Sai Laksha Technologies. There is no account or login.
Voice
Listen & Learn uses Apple’s on-device speech synthesis to read text aloud. Speech is not sent to Sai Laksha Technologies.
Ads
Google AdMob shows a banner above the tab bar and occasional full-screen ads after a lab is finished and when a lab is opened from Explore. We tag ad requests as child-directed and request non-personalized ads. Google’s advertising systems may process a device advertising identifier and technical information to serve and measure those ads. We do not use that identifier to track children across apps or websites, and the app does not show Apple’s tracking permission prompt.

- No contacts, photos, precise location, or files
- No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites by Sai Laksha Technologies
- No Sai Laksha Technologies analytics or crash reporter
- We do not sell personal information or upload progress to our servers
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for children ages 6 to 12 with a parent or guardian. Ads are treated as child-directed under COPPA-related Google settings. Parent Zone is behind a simple grown-up math question so children cannot change those settings by accident. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own use.
App Store privacy label
Little Scientist does not track users. Device identifiers may be used by Google AdMob for third-party advertising. They are not linked to your identity by Sai Laksha Technologies. Apple APIs used on-device include UserDefaults (app settings) and file timestamps as declared in the app’s privacy manifest.
Data retention and deletion
All app data remains on your device until you delete the app. There is no cloud backup.
